Through My Lens

“A mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work if it is not open.” ― Frank Zappa

I am a product designer and I do production quality control of outdoor products as a side business. I discovered photography in my early teens. I had my own darkroom and based on "learning by doing" I was able to enjoy the photographic cycle from handling the camera to developing my own pictures. As life went on I continue bring my camera with me on climbing trips and almost everywhere I went. With the introduction of digital I was intrigued at first, but after a while I got confused of all the options digital introduced. So for many years I didn´t bring my camera. Some years ago I rediscovered photography and learned to live with all the distractions found in a modern digital camera. As I travel quite a lot and want to bring my camera with me as much as possible I have settled with a quite small set up and mainly use prime lenses. The camera is of cause just a tool, but for me it is a little bit more than a tool - it has to inspire me and not be a distraction. I divide my life between China and Norway - and this site is part of my life through my lens.............
